Marvel Select Dr Doom Action Figure Review

Opened another box if Marvel Select Figure today, they are so good! My first Marvel Select figure that I ever buy was Venom, the new version...it is so crazy good!! Then not too long after I have been buying almost everyone of the older ones. I am on 47+ lol.... Good price and nice figures! Anywayz going on with the review.

Regular Marvel Select packaging. Wasteful in material and heavy to ship. But the side Art is very nice as always, I always cut it out and save it. Also the corner sticker t hing at the front. I toss the rest of the stuffs.

This figure come with a lot of stuffs! The thrones is really detail and nice!!! It also come with a deco but you have to use some kind of sticker or something to display it on a flat surface. Comes with main figure, hand gun and extra hand for holding his wine.

Sorry for the blurry pictures. The figure is pretty nice, the robe is made out of soft rubber materials. He stands at around 7.5 inches tall.

The deco stick to the background with those sticky gum that you buy in a craft store. There is no other way to display it except stick it to a flat surface.

 

 The throne is extremely detailed. The 2 flags are made out of cardboard, but it will be better if they are made out of fiber materials. cardboard will get damage overtime. The deco stick to the background.

Dr Doom sitting on his throne. Thanks to the rubberish material on the robe, he can sit on the throne!! It a little bit hard but it works, kinda..... Also his gun is in his gun holster.

Box Art : Same as all Marvel Select packaging. Nice Side Arts, but hate the plastic part of the box as I said many times before.

Extra Parts included :The throne is freaking awesome but the flags are made out of hard paper cardboard material. If it is made out of fiber materials I will be give it a 10 out of 10.

Figure QC :This is the older style of Marvel Select, it is not too bad, but for the price, you can't go wrong with it. The "metal" part of the figure are printed and it has some kind of "weather" effect, which is pretty cool.

Articulation : This is an older Marvel Select figure so the articulation is not that great. But it is not too bad, most of the joints are there except for the feet, if it can be move, he can pose a lot better. Right now, it just look kind of stiff.
Score : 7 /10

Figure Design : The figure is pretty cool, there are few things I don't know about it is no articulation and the flag but over all is pretty good.
 Score : 8 /10

Price : $24.99 to $39.99. great price!!! Marvel Select always have the best price compare to other company. Other company charge too much!!!

Overall : One of the better Marvel Select figure, not bad at all.

Marvel Select Thor 2 : The Dark World Jane Foster Action Figure

Made some room yesterday, a lot of room...for my Marvel area so opened another box of figure =D. This is Jane Foster from Marvel Select made by Diamond Comic. Again, it has the regular Marvel / Diamond select packaging.

Again the side Art of the box is beautiful!! I cut it off and saved it just like all other Marvel / Diamond Select figures I ever open.

What is inside the package are the main figure, extra head with black eyes with different hair style, base part with the base that can be combline with Thor's base.

The base is pretty nice, it does really looks like rocks.

Jane stand at around 7 inches, not quite dead on 7 inches but pretty close. Sculpted by
Gentle Giant. Head sculpt does looks a lot like Natalie Portman. However, my camera sux, so, does not so good in picture. The outfit is made out of soft rubberish material, it is flexible. The Articulation sux, due to the skirt is in the way, but the legs inside the skirt are fully articulated. However, she can not stand on her own at all! Her feet are small and she's wearing heels =_=. But no matter, you can lean her on Thor =D, or a wall just like I do here. 

This is her with the other head with the black eyes, it has different hair style from her original head.

Articulation : Articulation SUX, but it is the skirt, but you are not going to pose her like some crazy pose, she's not a fighter! lol.  compare to some older Marvel Select figures, it is not too bad. But my biggest complain. with this figure is, the figure can not stand on her own!! Also there's not where to palce the figure on the stand? so.....

Figure Design : This figure is not bad, I don't love it. the figure does somewhat looks like Natalie Portman tho.

Overall : A passing grade for this figure. May be going to Mod this figure a bit later on, like a re paint of the face, to look like Natalie Portman more.

Marvel Select Thor 2 : The Dark World Thor Action Figure

Wooo, I have been so busy and got no time to open figures. Another reason is that I have no room. Over 200 Figures on display in my room...lol. But today! I made some room for my Marvel section. Finally got some room to put more Marvel stuffs out. Anywayz, I will go on with the review.

The figure has standard Marvel / Diamond Select packaging, very big and blocky, expensive on shipping =_= and hard to collect the box. What I usually do now is use cutter to cut along the edge of the box so it will not damage the cardboard part. I just collect the cardboard part and the side of the box, it has a very cool large art on it, is pretty cool. The other thing is the plastic sticker thingy on the lower left corner of the box, I cut them out and use them as bookmark.

The side art is really nice!! I really love
the side art of Marvel Select. But I really
don't like the packaging tho, it is too much waste!! I toss the plastic every time. I wish they going to switch to paper box one day,
It will better for environment and lighter
to ship.

The figure is sculpted by Gentle Giant, so the sculpt is very good, it is harder to see in picture but they look better in person, the face does really look like Chris Hemsworth. The figure stands at around 8 inches tall. 

 

 

A tiny bit taller than other Marvel Select figures, such as Dare Devil, Captain Marvel. Comes with his Hammer of Thunder Mjölnir. His cape is made out of flexible rubberish material. The Figure can stand on his own pretty well.

A close up to the face, the sculpt is really good. 

The joints are pretty good, very poseable. This is just showing what you can do with the joints. You can do some pretty crazy poses.


















The following is height compare with Jane Foster. He's a lot taller than Jane. Jane Foster will be review next.

Include a base that can be combline with 
Jane Foster's base. Which will be cover next review.

Box Art : Same as all Marvel Select packaging. Nice Side Arts, but hate the plastic part of the box as I said up there.
