Marvel Select Cable Review

This is a figure that I had been hype for soooo long! Finally got this over a week ago, but has no time to post review but  here it is!

Looks pretty good from this distance....But we get to that later. I hate the box =_=....They really should use some other sytle of packaging...seriously...

 Arts look really good on the back.

Side box art looks really bad ass as usual! As everyone who have been reading the blog, I save all those side Art form Marvel Select figures.

Unboxed from package. Holy shit the base look so bad ass! He comes with crap load of weapons!

Sorry for the bad light spot on his face, but that's everything out of the box.

A close up on the base. I am not so sure what mask is it....tho....ummmm...if anyone know that please post on the comment section below. But whatever it is, it looks cool =D.

That's all the weapons, too bad that not all weapon can be attach on his body tho....that's too bad. I might have to do some mod on him to put all weapons on him.

Front View. He looks good alone but.....His head is actually smaller than some of the other Marvel Select figure. The scale seems kind of strange.....He looks like a huge dude with a tiny head....

Left view. Looks pretty good, the sculpt detail is really damn good. The paint job is ok except the face.....

Right View.

Back View. His butt look weird....lol.... I am not sure what that silver back thing is on his left shoulder but I use it to attach one of his weapon. It doesn't work that well but I used a clear rubber brand that the figure come with to hold on to it, it works pretty well..

I took his hand gun out of his right pouch and replace it with another gun that is same as the one on the left. The other gun on his left hand is the one I will attach on his back on the next photo.

I attached the "middle large" size gun on his back with the clear rubber brand.

That hand gun on his right pouch doesn't really looking right so I replace it with a bigger gun, which is the same one on his left. I plan to drill a hole on the back of his belt and attach this small hand gun on the belt. A very simple mod. Just drill a hole on both the belt and the pouch and put a pin on the pouch, and stick it in the hole you drilled on the belt. Make sure you don't damage the gun when you drill the hole tho.

Cable on his base. This is pretty damn bad ass.

O yes. the articulation....It has all the joints and stuffs but, they are very.....tight. So you can't really pose it much......You can try move the joint more to loose it up but there's kind of no point. Most of the articulation is on his lower body and arms..so...

Final Review:
Box Art : The score only given to the art, not the package! I hate the package type but the art is pretty good.
Score : 8 / 10

Extra Parts included :Base, 6 weapons. The base is so damn bad ass. 6 fucking weapons! O,O. You can put all the weapons on his body but need some mods tho.

Figure QC :Good sculpt, very good detail. Paint job is ok except for the face....The beard "dot" are very from figure to figure. Some are very think dots, some are ok. They should had use a pin to do this....but this is still ok...I guess. His right eye is strange, pretty bad actually. You can't really see much going on there.
Score : 7/ 10

Articulation : Articulation are there but...they are very tight. The upper body has NONE since it is so big, it make sense.
Score : 6 /10

Figure Design : Very good sculpt and detail. Paint job is ok, except the face.. Lot of weapons and the base is bad ass. The over all design is pretty damn good but the scale of it is a bit strange. The head is little big small... compare to other Marvel Select figures.
 Score : 8 /10

Price : $24.99 to $39.99. great price!!! Marvel Select always have the best price compare to other company. Other companies charge too much!!!
Score : 10 / 10

Overall : This is the first new Marvel Select figure come out in 2015. It is ok, not the best figure because of the problem with the head scale and paint job on the face. This is still very acceptable.

SquareEnix Play Arts Kai Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain Venom Snake Review

It looks like few of my review disappeared or never saved...strange...

O well, I will just put this up and fix the rest later. That will included Ground Zero Snake and few others.

This time, they only have the old play arts kai package style from few generation back, but that's ok. It doesn't have the box cover layer anymore. Box size is also the same as the older generation ones.

Side of the Box.

This is the other side of the box, They are using the actual figure to pose for box art again which they  haven't do for a while. I kind of miss that.

Back of the box, all the pictures are using the actual figure to pose as well, with effect of coz.

 

Figure un-boxed. It comes with quite a bit of stuffs. Extra head!!! I always like extra head!!! Also include muffler which can be used to cover up half of his face. 4 extra changeable hands for holding different weapons. 1 rifle, 1 hand gun, 1 knife and a remote control for bombs? C4?

 I have to say, he DOES not look what he looks like in game =_=. But this is acceptable. Ground Zero version looks much better than this tho. It is using the new shoulder joint system but, it is not that well made, not as good as the ground zero one again. I mean the new shoulder joint system is good but this one not as well made. The shoulder joint on this figure is way away from the socket unlike Ground Zero version, it work around the joint and made it looks like it has NO joint, but this one....NOPE.

Left front side of the figure. The figure stands over 10 inches tall.

Left back view of the figure. I don't know what that loose belt is for on his back, it doesn't seems to be connect to anything, kinda strange that way.

Back view of the figure, you can see the left shoulder joint looks very strange, the designer takes no attention to even try to work around the shoulder joint. 

Back right view of the figure.

The feet does not have the swivels on the tip of the shoes, making it harder to stand. 

Snake holding his pistol with suppressor, perfect for silence take down. Also my most used weapon in game lol.

Snake's famous CQC (Close Quarters Combat), ready to take down any enemies.

Say Hello to my little friend version 2.0. This pose looks much more like Tony's pose in the Movie Scar Face lol.

 lol, the goggles and that beard and mustache lol. I don't know why it makes me laugh lol, may be because it doesn't look like Snake at all haha.

This look much better now that his beard and mustache is covered lol. In fact, it looks pretty bad ass.

Final Review:
Box Art : The design of the box is same as the older Play Arts Kai, nothing really special. However the side art and back art are pretty bad ass tho.
Score : 8 / 10

Extra Parts included : Lot of extra parts this time. Extra head, this is worth a lot of points for me. Also include extra muffler which can cover up his face. 4 extra changeable hands for holding different weapons. 1 rifle, 1 hand gun, 1 knife and a remote control for C4.
Score : 10/10

Figure QC : The QC is ok...at least there are no major problem.
Score : 7/ 10

Articulation : Not bad articulation, but I don't want to risk breaking this expensive figure lol so I just pose some more "normal" poses.
Score : 8 /10

Figure Design : The figure design is ok, head sculpt is ok. It does not look like snake from the game tho. It is not as good as Ground Zero snake. Figure designer did not even try to "hide" or work around the shoulder joint at all. I give 10 out of 10 on the joint system on Ground Zero Snake, this one is a 5 due to I feel rip off by the company. It is using the new shoulder joint system but it looks ugly! wtf.
 Score : 6.5/10

Price : $99.99, well I have mix feeling for this figure. It feel like play arts figures from few generation back with new shoulder joint system. But the extra head make up for it a little. But I am still piss off about this. Not only there is no improvement but a set back!!
Score : 7.5 / 10

Overall : Well, this is an acceptable figure, but it is very expensive =_=. No improvement over the Ground Zero Snake and the price point piss me off. You can only accept this as a older style play art figure with extra head plus new shoulder joint system.
